A note from the studio

I learn the most when I look at the work through more than one lens.

I’ve spent more than 25 years designing soft goods and working inside factories around the world. That work hasn’t stopped.

CANVASWORKER grew up alongside it, starting as a hobby at a sewing machine. It became a studio, then a classroom. Students came from real companies, and a lot of them became clients.

Through all of it, I’ve given myself projects. Patterning. How fabric twists, drapes, and holds its shape. Dressmaking, woodworking, photography. The things you don’t always get to learn inside a company.

Lately, some of the largest AI software companies have reached out. Their engineers heard through word of mouth how I’m using these tools, from product creation to a lot more. I keep it low key. You might see some of it on YouTube.

That’s what this is now. One piece, maybe two or three, no rules. Some days teaching, some days just making, some days talking it through.

Nothing sells online. If something I make finds a home, it happens in person, with a handshake.
