Discover the fundamentals of industrial sewing techniques and materials in this hands on workshop, located in Costa Mesa, CA. Guided step by step, you’ll design and construct your own market tote bag using professional tools and methods. With a class size limited to just four students, you’ll receive personalized instruction in a creative, collaborative setting.

What You’ll Do

Learn the basics of sewing machine operation, bag construction, and patterning
Practice sewing, and finishing techniques used in professional bag making
Work alongside your instructor and peers in an engaging studio environment
Complete the session with a finished tote bag you made yourself

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Work alongside an instructor and small group of students to focus on sewing techniques, patterning, construction, and machines with a balance of group discussion.

WHAT YOU’LL GAIN

By the end of the class you'll have gained 32 hours of bag making experience, a backpack, and a good balance of bag verbal dialogue.

PREREQUISITES

No prior sewing experience is necessary. Beginner to intermediate level, it’s fun for everyone!
